Welcome to The Sky Cabin

Here, you retreat within.

The Sky Cabin is an inner retreat — a quiet space to recover from the noise of the world, to reflect, and to evolve the soul through contemplation and light study.
It’s a place for healing, stillness, and gentle creation.

For me, the perfect Sky Cabin stands in the heart of the desert in the American Southwest. Step outside, and you can enjoy the clear skies—perfect for stargazing.
I’ve looked up for over twenty years—sometimes with astronomy groups, often on my own.

But let’s continue with the tour…

Inside this minimalist cabin you’ll find a fireplace, a shelf of books, two wooden chairs, a sandglass, two stones, and a table waiting for conversation.

Sometimes I bring my laptop to write and listen to music, but the idea here is to focus on words, thoughts, and reflection—or simply to watch the slow pouring of sand through the glass.

Marcus Aurelius once spoke of retreating within to study one’s thoughts.
That is exactly what this place is: a space for inner retreat.

So I invite you to sit by the fire, look out at the desert sky, and reflect with me on the mysteries of life.

My name is Dalas Verus, and I am a time observer.

Stay. Stay as long as you want.
There’s tea, too.
